Thank you for visiting my website. These are a few information I would be glad to share with you.
Architecture to me is a combination of art, history and science. I can see architecture everywhere around me, from the experience of a meaningful, fruitful and interesting discussion, to the conception of a spoon, the construction of a chair, a car, a small or large scale building, an entire city or even an entire country.
Everything around us has a concept, a foundation, a procedure and replies to a specific requirement.
I founded on 2005 the F.U.V. Group, an architectural and construction company aiming to combine in the best way the three essential components of the architectural values according to Vitruvius: “Firmitas, Utilitas, Venustas”.
Since 2015 the company is divided in two different parts, the FUV Constructions dedicated on the construction of buildings and the FUV Products promoting and providing specific material solutions concerning the indoor comfort and hygiene.
At the moment the FUV Constructions is active only in Greece, while the FUV Products is present also in UK since 2016.
As energy consultant of the Italian Agency for the Building Efficiency CasaClima, all the projects undertaken by my company are aiming to the best energy sustainability standards.
My activity covers all aspects of the process, from site selection and design to completion. I really love to work closely with my clients and all different professional profiles including colleague engineers, builders, and interior designers.
During the whole procedure of any construction project, I feel more like a Master Builder and less than the modern society believes for the figure of the Architect.
In the following text by Vitruvius book De Architectura, now commonly known as the Ten Books on Architecture you can see my point of view.
[Architecture] is the child of practice and theory.
Practice is the continuous and regular exercise of employment where manual work is done with any necessary material according to the design of a drawing. Theory, on the other hand, is the ability to demonstrate and explain the productions of dexterity on the principles of proportion.
It follows, therefore, that architects who have aimed at acquiring manual skill without scholarship have never been able to reach a position of authority to correspond to their pains, while those who relied only upon theories and scholarship were obviously hunting the shadow, not the substance.
But those who have a thorough knowledge of both, like men armed at all points, have the sooner attained their object and carried authority with them.
…Let him be educated, skillful with the pencil, instructed in geometry, know much history, have followed the philosophers with attention, understand music, have some knowledge of medicine, know the opinions of the jurists, and be acquainted with astronomy and the theory of the heavens.

My first approach with a building construction was in 1989, when I was working in building sites for the summer vacation in Athens. After school I have studied architecture in Genoa, Italy and since 2001 I live in Athens.
You can see some of my projects and navigate on the websites of the FUV Group.
